videos!
I took a few of videos of Eric Wubbels demonstrating some of the Manta's capabilities. All of these videos use the same Max patch for interfacing with the manta, so they don't show a very wide range of what you can do with it, but here they are:

Also, I posted this video which shows what I've found to be the most useful technique for controlling the Manta sensors. It shows how to roll your finger from tip to flat to change the capacitance smoothly.

RE: videos!
These are great. I particularly dig the Castle Theme in 8iMl_tR0qgw.

RE: videos!
Very nice demonstration, they are inspiring !
It is possible to make a video that demonstrates technique on XY field, like Haaken Continuum FB ?

RE: videos!
hmm - good idea, I'll try to post some videos of that soon. If your primary goal is to get a great XY controller, the Manta is not the ideal device. I've designed the sensors for accurate discrete sensing, and then in software set it up so that you can get XY centroid data. You need to use a lot of your hand to get good results, like putting your fist down on the surface, since otherwise there are holes in the data between the sensors (if you just use a fingertip, for instance). However, it does work well if you are sensing your fist or an open palm. I'll put up some demos showing how this works when I get a chance.

In the meantime - here are a few more videos:
