Can MANTA sense triads?

I was just wondering if MANTA can sense if finger is placed in the center of hexagonal button trio ( just like ASIX -64 resp Axis 49 can do ). And if can sense all 3 button will they send 3 MIDI CC or tones ON/OFF ?

Hi,
I'm not sure what you mean by the first question. If you mean when you push down three adjacent hexagons, will the manta software report which one is in the center, then no. However, if you know how to write a Max/MSP patch you could write something that would do that job.

As for your second question: It can sense all three buttons, and it sends both three independent MIDI CC values on different controller numbers, and 3 Note on/off events.

hi jeff , Thanks for your reply. What I was refering if by touching only with one finger in the center point of 3 keys one can play accord ( triads ) just like Axis 064 /49 can do .

Hi,
the sensors are rather large, so you'd probably need to use two or three fingers to hit three of them at once. There is also a little space between them. I tend to aim for the center of the sensors, as the edges are less sensitive.
